After 150 years of wasteful and irresponsible exploitation of our natural resources, which has led to the destruction of biodiversity, we are convinced that it is not sufficient to ask humanity to simply slow down or diminish its impact on living organisms. Rather, we have to recognise that we must now take proactive and concrete initiatives to stop and reverse the process of destruction, given the gravity and urgency of the situation.
This is why Green Ethnies has chosen to take action in a specific and measurable area: the reforestation of the primary Amazonian forest.
In partnership with the Swiss association AQUAVERDE, Green Ethnies is investing in an ecological and humanitarian initiative for the protection, safeguarding and reforestation of the Amazon rainforest.
Green Ethnies has chosen the Aquaverde association due to the quality of its approach to reforestation, carried out in collaboration with local tribes, the only people with the know-how required to restore the primary forest.
"Just as the Surui tribe needs the Amazon forest for survival,
this forest is vital for all of humanity. If we do not change the way we exploit the forest and do not stop destroying it, there is a risk that the entire planet will disappear " Almir Narayamoga Surui (Chief of the Paiter Surui people of the Amazon)
